National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is funny!
"About a Boy" is good.
"White Christmas" starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye is still a classic!!!

Runaway Bride is a good family film or my big Fat Greek Wedding. About a Boy or Bridget Jones Diary...If it has to be Christmassy then Jack frost...Tim Allen is in it.

If it's for all the family, try a board game. It will promote conversation and everyone will have fun. I suggest Cranium

Bad Santa! Brilliant - truly adult and truly hilarious. Not too sure on whether the older generations would appreciate it, depends on their personality. Watch it anyway, though!
