Any of you know what FF12 story is like? I dont know too much about it, but id like to know a description of the story from someone who is playing it or probably beat it by now.
I hear a lot of good things about it, so id like to know about the story, since it will influence me buying it or not.
Anyone?

yea she basically gave you the opening of the game... but don't be fooled into thinking this a boring game about war and politics... the game has many plots within and many many interesting characters.. oh and get this..NO CHOCOBO RACES!!! thank you thank you.... lol but the story is one of the best in the FF series so far... i think 8,10,12 are my favorite storylines for the FF series... anyways back to xii... im sure you're gonna love your motley crew.. i tink penelo is my favorite character in the game... but it's all the side quests and mob hunts that make this game so awesome... GO GET IT!!!!!!!! lol

Basically, there's a civil war going on between 2 reigions. At the begining of the game the king of the southren reigion was killed and the newly wed son of the king comes to power. Soon after a battle breaks out and the new king goes off to fight. He gets killed and his wife loses just about everything. In the Northern region the king is old and frail. A small army goes to "negoitate" with him. But really a guy name Vayne is there to sign a treaty with him. Basch, and an army come in a kill the King before he can sign the treaty and is sentenced to death. He also kills the "main character" of the game's brother. Then the game starts... And the main character bascially hates the Northern reigion and how they came into thier land and stole everything and is trying to find a way to get some of thier freedom back...
