Take number 120 sand paper and very gently rub it until it lightens. Careful because your removing the photo finish, you can do it, the little engine did, just be careful. If you go to far and black shows through use "white out" to cover.

If in fact the floor covering is real lino, it is made from ground cork, linseed oil, and other stuff. That you can sand it out with medium sand paper, coat it with Staples Bowling Wax and buff the hell out of it. If it is the hospital type floor covering,(it used to be called Tessera, made by Armstrong) it can be treated in a like manner. Now, if you have the thin junk that is used by most builders today it is a lithographed material that is stuck on a backer of some sort and then covered with about six thousandth of an inch thick. If this is your case you are screwed..You can do whatever you want and it will not help. You will ruin the floor finish.. You could always put a flower pot over it.. Sorry for the bad news but that is the short of it.. Good Luck

Try some plain baking soda and some water, with a white rag, not a paper towel, use circular motion. When finished, use some "Future" floor wax to touch up where you removed the finish. Most flooring today comes with a "burn rating" so I am thinking that the scorch mark is just topical and should come up pretty easy. If you have damaged the embossing of the floorcovering, call a professional.

If it burned the top layer of the linoleum, then no, you can't fix it. This isn't a stain, but a burn, and it's in the linoleum for good. Your only options are replacing that section of linoleum, covering it with a rug, or trying to use some sort of paint to cover the spot (which might just make it look worse)

No, it can't be fixed unless you remove the linoleum and replace with a new one.
I have the same mark on my kitchen floor and I have tried everything from vinegar to expensive cleaning products.

I don't think you can do anything because it is burned. The only thing I can think of is replace the area with the same pattern lino. You can't do this yourself, you'll have to call a professional because they have the tools to cut and iron in a new piece. If your lino is fairly old this won't work either because you'll notice the new on the old. Good luck, you may have to live with it.
