On the one side people would be closer to each other, on the other hand- if people are of different races, nationalities they still are strangers to each other, even if they are mixed, one nationality would be dominant, and there wouldn't be such a warm feeling, when people of the same nationality meet, they would lack common base, and speaking one language they would be very far from each other in their mentality, way of thinking and behavior. It is the cause of the complete rejection of the others but yourself. People of the same nationality are closer to each other historically and in terms of traditions.

No, no, no, and Hell, no. Look at the American Civil War. Everyone spoke English, and it was one of the bloodiest wars in history. There have been plenty of wars over the years between people that spoke the same languages. Wars have more to do with resource allocation than language ever could.

Wars and conflicts rarely develop by the reason of language alone...
I would think that individual, and group ideals perpetuate war more than anything else. People seek to identify themselves with a group or party that meets their ideals and goals... i.e. religious factions, governments and bureaucracies... when there is an opposing opinion... conflict inevitably arise.

I don't think so.In my opinion conflicts are generated by hate and greed and understanding problems.Speaking the same language isn't enough, people need to understand each other and share the same ideas in order to reduce the number of wars and conflicts.

No way! war has to do with economic interests and fighting over power. Not about language problems. Think about civil wars.

If we all understood a common language we would probably do as before then God would have to change us again, maybe. I mean how many times do we get knocked down before we learn who is in control of language and what it is used for.

Personally Cantonese would be great since I love their cooking.
But which language would be picked, and where is the fun in teaching all the curse words to a foreigner? All people of every language enjoy teaching curse words to a foreigner. I will never forget my trip to Europe and how they dupped me with language. Boy was I embarrassed and yet I laughed and so did they, maybe that is all we need is laughter.

Unfortunately not, because we would still have different opinions on religion.....and if we all believed the same we would be bored to death because we would have nothing to argue about.....hmmm.... there must be an evil to appreciate the good.
