I've always wondered how kids classified me in high school.
So some backgorund info...
I never did any sports or clubs. I was (and am) a very reserved character, the only time I voice my opinion is through typed words and even then it is far and few between.
At junior high, people were frightened of me, because I never spoke and never got angry. People were always friendly to me but in a synthetic way, as if they were scared I was going to go ballistic on them.
At high school, I was grouped with no one. I had only one friend throughout high school who was the polar opposite of me. Basically he was funny, popular and an extrovert.
I did homework sparingly, but never missed a class. I sat at the back of the class actually being one of the few people who listened to the teacher, but never took notes.

All answers welcome.

P.S. I'm stupid...

I didn't care about anything; what people though or said about me otherwise. I was just making my way through life. The kids at my high school was mostly preppy snooty kids whose parents were all multibillionaires and so on and so forth. They didn't like my not-wanting-anything attitude which resulted in isolation and silence.

I believe the word is "loner". I guess you could've also been a bookworm or geek or whatever it is that currently describes an introverted smart kid... but it seems like mostly you were a "loner" with a little bit of "freak" in there... people are usually afraid "freaks" will "go ballistic" on them.

i dont wanna hurt ur feelings but that sounds like a "freak" u werent a nerd becuz u didnt always take notes and talk all smart.so i guess u were lonely and shy.u just kept everyhting inside becuz u were afraid of letting out the wrong thing.i dont kno but it seems as if u were kinda depressed and lonely.but i guess if they had gotten to kno u for the right reasons, u wouldnt seem weird.just be confident and not so shut out all the time.

you sound remotely like me. i did have more friends in high school, or what i would call acquaintances. i have one friend i talk to still from high school. i wasn't particularly shy or avoiding of people, i just didn't really talk to people unless i had a reason. i liked to sit in the back of the class. i listened to the teacher too so i didn't need to study, usually. i took notes if i was told to. i did homework but i never really applied myself in school. i basically did what i had to do to get by. i graduated with a 3.4 or something like that, but i'm sure if i really had tried i could've had closer to a 4.0. i'm still kind of quiet but just a little bit. and, yes, it does make people uneasy because they never know how to approach you. you never give them an opportunity to let them see what kind of person you are. this can be advantageous to you, if you don't want people to know who you really are. but, it's that "it's the quiet ones you have to worry about" mentality that people find unnerving.
