The last day of my period was sun., Nov. 19. After having intercourse on Turkey day I noticed that the head of the condom had ripped. I want to take a home pregnancy test but I am not sure if it is too early to get a correct reading. Please, if you are a GYN/OB, I need help asap. Should I take a home test or will it give me false readings?

implantation can take up to 12 days
you will not have a positive test till at least 3 days after implantation (including blood tests)
you must wait at least 14 days from unprotected sex to test reliably for pregnancy (home or doctors office) better to wait till you miss your period, or take emergency contraception (most effective if you take it by tonight)

Yes, it's way too early to test. You'll have to wait 2 or more weeks. Those will be really long weeks. Believe me, I've waited those weeks several times. Sometimes, I wanted AF and now, I'm waiting and I don't want her. I shall see within the next couple of days. My last cycle started on the 31st of October and I hope I don't get another one for a while. Good luck with whatever it is you'd like!

It's waaaaaaay too early. Sorry hon, but you should wait until you're at least a day late with your period to try a urine test. There are some that advertise earlier results but they also tell you the accuracy is increasingly decreased for every day prior your missed period. Be patient.

Chances are that a home pregnancy test wouldn't give you true or accurate reading right now. You would need to waid until it's closer time for you next period. Only way to know for sure right now would be to have your doc's office to do a blood test. Hope this helps. But depending on how long your cycle is, and when you ovulate, I would say you might be or get pregnant this month. I know its not what you want to hear, but hope you find out everything you need to.

I'm not a ob/gyn, however, I do believe you can take a home pregnancy test up to 4 days before your due to start.

It's way to early to take a test. You normally would take the test a few days after the date of your next expected period.
