Is there such a thing as a "jazz clarinet"?

or is it just the bflat clarinet and it is how you play it that creates the jazz sound?

It's a clarinet played in a jazz style.

Benny Goodman http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benny_Goodman was one of the great jazz clarinetists.

There is no specific instrument called a "jazz clarinet"...its just how you play it. Same with the trumpet.

Any instrument can be a jazz instrument. It's all in the style you play it.
