I use a laptop for college (for irish readers did you hear school students might be getting laptops? that's so unfair! we never got good things like and that and we definaley didn't need them and i only left a few years ago - we need them in college). I know most laptops only get about one and a half hours battery time but i can't drag in the heavy adaptor every day and there aren't that many convenient places to plug it in anywya. is there any way to increase battery power? considering i'm on a student budget. thanks for your help in advance

Buy better batteries and/or external batteries, turn on all the power-save options like turn-off backlight, hibernate, suspend, and so on.

Buy a new battery... they're about £30-£50. A good battery should last around 3-4 hours. Some laptops can take two batteries, check to see if yours can.

Otherwise, no... just get a better laptop.
