The Differences between a 95 caprice and a 95 impala are actually quite extensive, appearance wise of course the trim or badging, the grill, the quarter windows, trunk spoiler, etc. the caprice might have the same LT1 engine but the programing is different and the trans also is beefed up (9C1) also Impalas came with true dual exhaust. Where I really feel the difference is the suspension, the caprice is a soft suspension for a family style cruiser, the Impala has the 9C1 suspension alot stiffer for better handling and gas charged nitrogen shocks, also 8.5 inch posi rear and 4 wheel disc antilock brakes, quick ratio steering, trans and engine oil coolers, dual electric fans, etc.etc. There are quarter window conversion kits and you can buy all of the trim and spoiler, but it would be very expensive to do all of the mechanical upgrades. I bought a 95 Impala SS new and love it. You would probably be better off finding a used SS instead of trying to make a caprice an Impala, also the 96 SS is the most sought after because it had analog gauges and a floor shifter..

Well to start, one is a Chevy Caprice and one is an Impala. That's the difference. Pretty obvious.

I beleive the engines are identical, the only difference is the options package, typically the Impala was the highly optioned model, leather seats instead of cloth, power options, windows, door locks, etc etc.
