I also have young children and a bunch of relatives. I am also on a tight budget. I always like the idea of secret Santa for close relatives that get together all in 1 place. Another suggestion would be pick a amount you want to spend and spend the same amount for each person. Baking cookies or give candy tins or jars are nice for adults. For kids you can buy a large Christmas sock from the dollar store and buy little items like crayons, paints, coloring books, candy, play-doh and maybe something else there interested in and stuff the sock. You can even but there names on it for a personal touch. Hope this helps. Happy Holiday's.

A gift exchange game would be great. That way you only have to buy one gift.
If you haven't done it before: Everyone buys/makes a wrapped gift. $10 price limit. Whomever is hosting the holiday puts numbers on the gifts. On the day, everyone sits in a circle and picks a number out of a hat. This is the gift they get. Now starting with age (lowest to highest) that person can unwrap the gift and decide to trade or keep. The next person (and each afterwards) has to decide to keep or trade without opening.
The game is over when the last person has opened the last gift.
It is a very fun way to get to know your family better.
Or you could just go to the Five Below store or the local Dollar store to buy things.

Is there any way to draw names? That sure would cut down on the amount of gifts you have to buy. If you know what your family likes...for instance:maybe a can of cashews? I would love to get a can of those!
Like I have always said. If someone only has 50 cents to spend on me, I would love it if they actually shopped for something I liked, rather than spend $50 on me for something I hated!
Check out the sales. One time I found earrings that had been 5 or $6...and they were on sale for a nickel! And I got more compliments on those...then they ones I paid a higher price for. Go figure.
Good luck to ya.

Fudge!!! Chocolate fudge, maple fudge, pecan fudge and any other fudge...Go to your nearest dollar store and buy nice decorated tins, buy the ingredients for your fudge, make a variety as people have different taste. Put your heart into it, your love into it and your thoughtfulness. This is a very inexpensive Xmas idea, and if packaged right, will be a big hit..

You could:
make cookies
fudge
buy x-mas ornaments, sometimes you can get sets
or even better make them with your children and give them out. To the people receving them it will mean alot.
Everyone could use a few more ornaments on thier trees!
