Abortion is the killing of an unborn child! It's not a lifeless blob. That makes little to no sense at all. If you put a woman and a man together, they're not going to create a blob. They're gonna create a CHILD, which is what a fetus is. If one says ' I cant care for the child.....I have work school etc', adoption is a good answer. For the kids concieved in rape, it's not the childs fault who the father is. I feel for the mother and the baby.... But truly, it's a horrible horrible crime and should be stopped.

I used to think it should just be the women's choice until my 16 year old daughter became pregnant. I thought we could fix the problem quickly by just giving her an abortion, but by the time we got around to it, she was too far along for an abortion. My granddaughter is now 8 years old and I can look into her beautiful llittle face and see the precious blessing that I could have helped murder. So I no longer believe in abortion as just a means of birth control. For life threatening medical reasons, sure. My granddaugter is one of the greatest blessing I have ever recieved and I thank God that He intervened and kept me from going through with my original plan. God bless you.

If you really want to know, I'll tell you. I don't think abortions are wrong. A lot of people do, I don't. I think they have a very good standing in scoeity where sex is incredibly common. If you get pregnant and you don't feel like you shouldn't have that baby, then you shouldn't have that baby. Adoption is a nice idea for people and if that works for you, that's great. Abortion is a woman's right to choose when she is pregnant. People may not think it's right, but no one can tell a person what to do and not do with their own body.

Abortion is a very touchy subject. I believe that a woman should get it by her consent if she needs it, especially teenagers. If you don't have a steady job to support the kid or you are a rape victim, then I believe that people should be able to get it. It's all about a person's choice, not what other people think. An abortion would be better to have then have a child who you would have no future for.

OK!, a foetus does not even have a heart beat till at least 7weeks of pregnancy, and i don't think its wrong, because who are we to say whats right and wrong, especially when we have no idea what goes on with other people in their life's and their situations i think abortion shows a great deal of maturity, its a hell of a thing to put yourself through physically and especially mentally, I know abortion, is in a way terminating a life,, but who are we to bring children into this world if we have doubts about our selves as possible parents, it's been socially labelled as ''murder'' by so many , but then I think of all the neglected children, and wonder is it worth putting them through a life like that when we know it can be avoided? my opinion! I know it might suck but that's how I see it.

I don't think a person becomes a person (has a soul) until it is fully capable of fuctioning outside the mother's body by itself with little need for medical intervention. So around 8 months or so. Before that, its not a complete human being, so it can't possibly have a soul. So abortion is simply removal of a mass of tissue that will, IF LEFT ALONE, become a person, but is not yet one.
So, i think its ok, unless its after the 2nd trimester.
Very good acorn-oak tree analogy, Joachin.

Why are you starting a controversy here? Abortion should be legal, safe and hardly ever used (if people would ever think to use birth control). A woman should always have it as an option. An embryo is to a baby like an acorn is to an oak tree.

To Brianana you have no right to say that. Hve you ever thought of what it might be for a 13 year old girl who is in a bad situation, maybe even on drugs? Do you think that would be a good situation for a baby to come into? A situation where the kid might even habe an addictive personality and have to live with that its whole life. I am PRO choice.

Personally, I'm against it. For me. I DO consider an embryo to be a life, and I do feel as though abortion is terminating life.
HOWEVER...I still feel that every woman has the right to make that choice FOR HERSELF. So I am pro-choice, even if I personally am against the practice.

if you don't want to go through with something, don't start it. I guess it would be ok in a situation, like the baby has a defect and it will be a miscarriage anyways. or if it would be retarded or unable to walk or move, so you're just sparing them-but if it is perfectly healthy, I don't see why you'd want to do it. oh and the teens who get pregnant, i think its nasty kids having kids-they shouldn't b having sex anyways
