I had inverted nipples bofore I started breast feeding. Now that I have been nursing for a while they are no longer inverted. When I stop breastfeeding will they go back to being inverted?

The were inverted as long as I can remember. I am 30 now. They only stoped being inverted after I nursed for awhile.

Were they inverted before you got pregnant?

Generally you get inverted nipples when pregnant and just after delivery because you're so engorged. Once production and nursing is evened out, they pop back out like they should be.

Unless you're natural anatomy included inverted nipples originally then no, they shouldnt havea reason to invert again.

I would think this depends on how long you will nurse your baby for.
How inverted your nipples were can also have a effect on whether or not they return to being that way after weaning.

Glad to hear you are nursing, especially through a condition in whcih so many mothers don't think they can, keep it up!!
