I want to buy my husband an 8 string bass for Christmas. He's a jazz musician. Any ideas which brand and model would be great for a seasoned musician?

I played a Hamer 8 and 12 string bass and the sound that comes out of them is just incredible. They were really made well and have great electronics on them. You can find a whole website on this by clicking below:

Well, i know other companies make 5 and 6 , and even 7 string basses , but the first company to pop into my head known for making 8 strings would be HAMER, and they probably have what you're looking for. Your hubby must be a pretty good player , cause 8 string isn't for everyone. LOL!
