i am about 185 lbs and just under six feet with an average/athletic build. the most accurate description of my body is someone who looks like they were in good shape at one point, but now just looks pretty normal (ie: hints of former shoulder muscles, etc.) i am looking to get back in shape and thought blasting my mid section would be a good way to do so

Be sure to do cardio because your abs won't show if they're covered under a layer of fat.

Interestingly, push-ups, chin-ups, and jogging work your abs because to do all of those properly you need to hold your stomach in.
