I went to get a pregnancy test because I had alot of the symptons of pregnancy. My husband and I went to our first ultrasound at my doctor's office to get a good estimate of a due date. He said the baby measured about 11 weeks and I had a period the month before. We were a month further than I had thought. I would definitely test again in about one to two weeks or go see a gynecologists and get a blood test done.

You are probably not pregnant. When you stop taking birth control it can take a while for your periods to get back on the right track. It can take anywhere from 3 months to a year to get it out of your system. I would give it about a week and if you still haven't started, take another test. If it comes back negative, I would call your GYN and make an appointment because sometimes your HCG levels may not be high enough for the home pregnancy test to detect. Let them do a blood test to find out for sure.

If you go to a pregnancy resource center where they are able to draw your blood to test for a pregnancy, do that, instead of relying on home pregnancy tests. They can have frequent false negatives in the early weeks of pregnancy, and even some false positives too. Most of the time blood tests are accurate, and you can probably find somewhere that will do one for free. I agree with the person above, stress can delay a period.

Yes, tests can be inaccurate this early. Have a blood test or wait a little more and use a condom. What do you mean your boyfriend had an accident? Keep in mind that pulling out is not effective, sperm gets out during sex, not just at the end, enough sperm to get you pregnant. So a condom must be worn throughout sex.

yes, you could still be pregnant - if your period does not show up for a week than take another and it will be more reliable. Don't worry to much though - you body is probably just reacting from hormonal shifts. It takes a few month for your body to calm down and get back into a regular pattern after stopping birth control

it may be too soon for a regular pregnancy test to detect a preganancy...thought there are several types that detect a pregnancy hormone, and thouse would be useful. i dont understand, if you had intercourse yesterday then why are you worried that you missed your period for 4 days? periods can be delayed for other reasons as well...but this doesnt mean you should take this lightly. go and have a check up or something. also if you had sex yesterday without protection it may not be too late to take the day after pill.talk to a pharmacist about it.

Its only one day, so the stress could delay your period. But you could still be pregnant. Wait a week, and if you don't get your period re-take the test.
