I thought about this yesterday when I heard Randy Cross saying over and over that the Raiders should have the ball after the Chargers' Vincent Jackson spiked it after making a catch. The officials made the right call, but Cross just wouldn't shut up about it, which is typical of him. Lots of bluster, little to say.

I'm not sure if he's my least favorite, but he's up there. So is Madden, who has turned into a caricature of his once-great self. He used to be the best, but now he's just a broken record.

Who would you pick?

John Madden,

He sounds just like his own video game, annoying as can be. Also, I'm convinced he is madly in love with Brett Farve.

tony kornheiser (however you spell it).. this guy is more of a comedian than a football analyst. he's even worse than Dennis Miller was..

get rid of this guy and re-unite Theisman with Patrick and McGuire. that trio was awesome together.. and all three just aren't quite the same apart.

Cross can be weak at times, but i don't think he's all that bad.

Al Michaels is part of the reason Madden's talents aren't utilized as much as they used to.

Madden worked best with Summerall.

also, reunite Enberg and Dierdorf. those guys were magic together!

I haven't seen all of the networks' bottom-feeders, but of all the color guys I've heard, I have to say John Madden is the most useless windbag on TV. He adds NOTHING to a broadcast. And while this may be Al Michaels' ego as much as anything, have you ever noticed he NEVER asks Madden a question?
He's a name, and that is IT.

Definitely JOHN MADDEN. I love football more than any other sport but I've turned off Sunday night football just to get Madden to shut the hell up.

Even though he is actually a play-by-play guy I hate Joe Buck. He only has the job because of who his dad was. (Jack Buck). The worst is when he is teamed with Tim McCarver in baseball. I call them Joe Cluck and Dim McCarver. Neither one is worth a crap.

Madden plain and simple...he agrees with whatever call is made and then if the official changes it...agrees with him...thank god for the "mute" button on our remote
