I wear a timex it's resistant to water--doesn't mean it can be held in water,but will take a little water. Some may be better than others. I must have a leather strap--I'm allergic to metal. I'd rather buy a new one every so often than put a lot of money in one I might loose anyway.

Not sure the reason but I have the same problem. Also not sure if its related but when I use dowsing rods or witching rods to find water, the rods separate instead of cross like most people. I would lean towards a magnetic explanation. I ruin everything electronic. Watches, lap tops, phones, etc.. would love to know the reason.

I actually have a whole collection of watches, but my favorite watch is the Omega watch my husband gave me one year for my birthday.
