Is it true that at the stage of teachers' vacancies fill in in Canada or the USA, educational institutions directors recieve about 1 thousand applications from the perspective teachers? If yes, is it still possible to get a teacher's job, when the number of applicants is about one thousand.

I can't really understand your question as you have apparently left some words out. But in the US there are many unfilled public school teaching positions. So a certified teacher should have no problem finding a position, especially in larger cities...the problem comes in on trying to live on the meager wages offered.

Now that question is just frightening.

Some vacancies may be better left unfilled, it seems.
Though "perspective teachers" might be of some use in art classes.
