don't know of anything legal, but it sounds like he needs a bag party. that's were you come up from behind them quickly put a gunny sack over them take them to a private place and whoop them with a baseball bat. now that's reserved for people like you said and people that hurt children

you can get a restraining order on him so that he can't come near you. By law sex offenders must report where they live, work, and cannot be within a certain distance from schools, daycare, etc - for child sex offenders. Thanks to the great internet their name, address, and photo are posted on the government website so that you can see where they are. I wouldn't stalk him to make sure that he is following the law. That only spells trouble for you. Also, you are not allowed to harass him (like posting signs in his neighborhood stating that he is a sex offender). Please do not harm him in any way. He has already done enough to hurt you. You don't deserve to go to jail or have anything else bad happen to you on account of him. If you think that he is still a danger then you can call the police IF you have proof that he is breaking the conditions of his release. The national web site is below if you need more info. God Bless!

Depending upon how long ago this incident was (and whether you're over 18, or how long you've been over 18) you may file a civil suit against him seeking damages for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and other torts. The statute of limitations may have run, but consult an attorney ASAP. He also may not have any money to pay a judgment, but then again, he may have some assets somewhere.
If you have specific fear of him, you can also seek a harassment no-contact order or injunction to ensure he stays away from you.
Of course, killing him is no solution, no matter how justified you may feel. That simply continues the cycle of violence (and, of course, also makes you a murderer and effectively ends your life).
I'm sure that you can't afford to hire a PI to tail him forever; plus, he could have an action for you for harassment or stalking.
Talk to an attorney in your area about a civil lawsuit and/or an injunction. You can also speak to his probation officer (if he has one) and convey your concerns and ensure that he is following the sex offender registration programs in your state.

Informing the public that he was convicted of such-and-such crime is generally legal; it can't be construed as libel when you state only what the court decided.
This doesn't mean he won't try; but my guess is he won't. Check with somebody who knows the law.
If you can somehow keep track of his location, you will be doing a service. I assume he will be "required" to register as a sex offender, but many offenders do not do it. You could keep the registry informed of his address.
Having seen some of the devastation caused by child molesters, I wish they could be locked up for life, and I wouldn't go out of my way to save such a man's life.
Having said all this, I will also say this: don't let him consume your life. The best revenge is to live well.

i can assure you that the rest of his life has been destroyed, a sex offender gets no relief from the public, i know a guy that was wrongfully accused of this, he is on 24 hour gps tracking., cannot own a computer, porn, sexual aids, has moved 8 times this year because his neighbors found out and harrased him.he is not allowed to be with anyone under the age of 18 without an adult present, he is not allowed in his parents house because there are little kids there.he is not allowed in my house because i have kids.he is not allowed to drive past a school or park.he cannot drink alchohol or do any kind of recreational drugs.he cannot own any type of weapon, including a toy gun or a paintball gun, or a sling shot, he had these taken away from him. and he has to register for the rest of his life as a sex offender and be monitered till the day he dies.by the way did i mention he is innocent

Humiliate him. Take his picture and put SEX OFFENDER!!! PERVERT On a flyer. Pass them around your entire town and make about 200 copies of the flyer and throw them all over wherever he lives. If you spread the word about him he will be watched and most likely harrassed or even beaten by pissed off normal people. They won't want him living in their town so they will do everything they can to get him out. Or you could carefully execute a plan to kill him. For instance, buy a shotgun at a local walmart. Saw the end off of it. Blow him away with it in the middle of the night. Drive into the next state and toss it into the biggest body of water you can find. Come back and act like nothing ever happened.

Legally, no - that ship has sailed when the statute of limitations passed
You MIGHT, and i mean, MIGHT get away with a suit because you were a minor, but very doubtful, as the SOL has probably still passed since you reached the age of majority
SERIOUSLY ---- LISTEN UP
You sound like you are obsessing over this man. You really need to get counseling, really... really. Focus your time and energy on putting your life back together - don't waste another second on this loser.

The best thing that you could is to keep up with him. He should be a registered sex offender and if he is then you should be able to go to the state law enforcement web site and find his address. Then you can print up his flier with his sex crimes printed on it. Hand it out to all of his neighbors and all the surrounding streets. If you can find out where he works, then post the fliers where he works, every time he moves or changes jobs, then do it all again.
You may not be able to have any more legal recourse but at least you will be warning people who live around him and work around him what he has done.

Was he convicted of molesting you? If not, you can file charges (if the statute of limitations has not passed). If convicted, he would go back to jail for that crime. (It's not double jeopardy if it's for a different case.)
You could also file a civil lawsuit for damages he did to you. That would hurt him financially and limit things he would be able to do.
You can probably notify any neighborhood that he moves into of his presence. States require sex-offenders to register their whereabouts and it's public information that you can share with his new neighbors.
Don't break the law to get at this guy. There are so many other ways to deal with this.

In many states such a person will be put on a Sex Offenders list and monitored for the rest of his life. See that he is. Get a protection order against him if he comes anywhere near you. But do not listen to people like the girl above suggesting that you might kill him. First, it is punishment that does not fit the crime, and you are not judge, jury, and executioner. You probably wouldn't get away with it. And if you try, he might kill YOU in self-defense!

in the town i live in in canada, a person has the right to put up flyers of warning. as an example, this pedophile moved from one town here because he was being harassed in his other town. the local news accually covered the move so that local residents were aware. they pinpointed the location and accually protested him living there. they put up flyers with his picture on it so everyone knew who he was. while i was shopping at the mall i witnessed him getting the crap beaten out of him. let the community know, and i'm so sorry that happened to you. don't go near the guy yourself though. someone else will do the dirty work
