The gap in her teeth is kinda like her trade mark in a way. Also, it shows young people who might not be that confident in their appearance that they don't have to be perfect. In this time and age we see so many "perfect" people in the media that it is nice to see someone who looks normal.

Maybe she's comfortable and confident in how she looks. Not everyone has to look like the current flavor of the month to feel good about themselves.
