Yes, 100%. If you have no hope you might as well have no home. It's as close to having nothing as you can get. If you have no hope no amount of money or material possessions in the world can fill the void. You're living under the illusion of being alone, which is unfortunate, because in reality, none of us are truly alone. We are all connected to each other and to all that is. When you come to know the truth about this you realize that there is nothing BUT hope for us all.

Yes, even homeless people find peace in their lives wandering around. They are "modern samanas" some of them. Yet some are homeless because they are hopeless or hopeless because they're homeless. Many homeless check out books more than the general population which shows some activity. Sometimes i even envy them, with the ability to let go of modern life in exchange for something that seems higher.

Well, no, if I'm being honest! Maybe I'm just too practical but I'd much rather feel hopeless and be warm & safe inside my pretty little house than to feel hopeful outside in the gutter, cold & damp...but that's just me.

Still, I see what you're saying & yes hope is a beautiful thing in the face of adversity & can inspire you to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. Feeling hopeless is an awful thing & could ruin life for someone who on the surface appears to have everything...

There's a beautiful movie out now called "The pursuit of happyness" (Their spelling mistake not mine! :) starring Will Smith & it's the true rags to riches tale of a man who was homeless but had hope for a better life & ends up a millionaire broker. So it can be done!

:)

I don't agree.

Hopelessness can be far more comfortable than homelessness. If you ask a hopeless person to trade places with a homeless person, he would say no.

But ask a homeless person to trade places with a hopeless person, and he would not say no. He would just say he was unable to do it.

Think about it.

I know (from experience) the two often go hand in hand. I'm not sure what can be usefully gained by asking a question like this. It serves no helpful purpose or insight for anyone who is homeless or feeling hopeless or, as is far more likely, both.

If you are homeless, you are very likely to feel hopeless. It is hard to separate the two. There are very few people who are homeless and have hope.

It would be better to have hope when you are homeless, since once you lose all hope you are unlikely to pull yourself out of the situation.

Take care,
Troy

No
A homeless is hopeless.
A hopeless is not necessarily a homeless.

I know a Palestinian living in Syria without identity card, He and his children:
He cannot work
He cannot buy a house, a car, a store....
He cannot travel outside Syria.
His only sister ( living in Palestine ) cannot come to Syria
