There are so many things you can do to make him something. However, may I suggest that rather than making him something, buy him a necklace or some other form of jewelry that he can wear? Just remember that it needs to come from the heart and not the gumball machine, and he should welcome it with an open heart. A pillow that has a heart and says I love you is also an appropriate gift, he can rest his head on while dreaming of you. Hope this helps

For mine and my boyfriends 1 year anniversary (which was 4 years ago) I bought him a playstation 3 and a movie that he loved and I hated and he always bugged me about watching it with him. But I knew he wanted that so it was a great gift for him and all his friends where jealous. But if he is more into physical stuff why don't you go out and do something cool like rock climbing or go camping or something that you two can do together

I have a boyfriend who is very romantic too, and I can sympathize with you my dear: it's hard beating them at their own game. But you know what I did? My boyfriend has a very keen mathmatical brain, and loves brain challengers like puzzles, chess, riddles...etc., so I invented a little scavenger hunt for him. If you have the time (and patience), you should try it. He loved it! What I did was I bought him one small gift (just a little trinket you know he'll like, w/ a bag or box you can attatch a little note to), and hid it in the music hall at our college (we're both in the music program). We share a locker, so I left him a note right on the inside of the door so he couldn't miss it, which had a riddle leading him to the first gift. Then when he found the first gift, there was a little love note, but at the bottom I added a second riddle leading him to his second gift, which was something I had actually sketched for myself (it was a pencil sketch of our hands touching), but I wanted him to have it, because we both have an appreciation for art, and I happen to have been blessed with natural talent. (He's also taking an art class, so I thought he'd appreciate it). I had framed it and wrapped it up nicely in a bag and left it in the bed of his truck. Then I left campus and went to a friends house (where I normally went every Thursday night until I started staying at his apartment on Thursdays), and he caught up w/ me later. Let's just say, we had a great night.

*All of the notes were written on rose paper w/ matching rose envelopes. Our flower is the rose, so I thought he'd like that too, and on every note, I sprayed a little of my perfume (he loves my perfume).*

So there's one idea. You don't have to be quite as elaborate if you don't want to, and you can change it up so it better suits your time or gift ideas. But I just wanted to share; it worked VERY well for me.

Good luck!

I do not know what you BF likes but I have always been a
into stuffed animals and so has my wife so maybe consider
getting him a big bear or something and get something stitched
on to it like Your so special to me, or thinking of you, or if you have pet names for each other like to my Sugar or Teddy Bear
or whatever you may call each other. Good Luck you could always get him some chocolates with a nice card that may work as well.

well this isnt homemade but have you thought of engraving something for him? At Things Remembered (at most malls) you can inexpensively engrave something like a keychain, etc. If you are looking for handmade, what about some handmade coupons for him. Like a free homemade dinner, a free backrub, a free night just for him (hint hint).

When my wife and I were separated for a period of time because of commitments, I was going through a Christian Retreat program for 18 months preparing for the ministries.

My heart led me to trace my hand print on a piece of paper and mail it to her. Telling her to put it somewhere she could reach it.
And when she needed to feel me , to reach out to me that she was to place her hand over mine and know that I LOVED her and that she was on my mind.

That God was holding us in hid hand as well.

It is not the price of a gift or present that really matters, it is what is on your heart when you give it.

Trust your heart.
OH. a few days later I received a letter with a small hand print on it , and a note that read simply,

ME TO>
