I don't want Bush impeached. The only reason I don't want Bush impeached is because if he were impeached, we'd be stuck with his vice president CHENEY. Cheney is like the evil puppet master behind Bush, he's even worse!

This is an dumb idea for many reasons. First off, he has done nothing to need to be impeached. Impeachment is used when a president has been involved in criminal or devious activities. It is not used because you disagree with his policies. Second, how would this actually help our country? This would place many resources into a virtual goose hunt to dredge up junk on Bush rather than using them for good. I know it has been a whole 7 or 8 years, but did you already forget about Ken Star?

All you can do as a citizen is write to your Congressmen/women. I do not want to see the Democrats waste precious time on impeaching GW. Tie up the Congress with this when there's a war, terrorism, the economy and immigration to be addressed? By the time they mounted an investigation, brought charges, and voted his two years would almost be up. He would have once again succeeded in hog-tieing the Democrats from a completely different direction. It's a fool's game to even think about it. Pelosi is dead set against it and is spending a lot of time, by all reports, talking to the more extremist of the Democrats to get them to see common sense, and I say more power to her. His dictatorship is over, and though I do think he richly deserves impeachment, I can be content with knowing he can't get away with whatever he pleases any longer. By the way, do you think Cheney is any better? He'd wait about two minutes before militarily attacking Iran.

No. Unlike Bill Clinton who lied to a Grand Jury Bush has done nothing to be impeached for. The worst thing he did was trust the CIA's intelligence. Also keep in mind that the head of the CIA at this time was a Clinton appointee. Congress can't impeach a president when congress authorized the use of force. Congress didn't authorize Clinton to lie to a Grand Jury.

Impeached because.... you have an irrational hatred for him?

Typically, sentient people in the US understand that a president must actually commit a crime or take other heinous actions in order to be impeached. To my knowlegde (and everybody else's), Bush has not committed any act that would rise to the level of impeachment.

Blind hatred and acrimony do not count as enough for impeachment.

You realize that before you can impeach you have to be able to:
1) Quote an actual law that was violated
and
2) Provide evidence that he violated that law.

"I don't like him" is not a valid reason for impeachment in any country where we retain our freedoms.

You can write your congressman. The House impeaches.

You understand there are not enough Democratic votes in the Senate to find him guilty, unless some Republicans go along.

And, as someone pointed out already, do you really want Cheney as President?

He should be but unforntunately most of the democrats have turned cowards since the election. What do you expect? They promise us an impeachment before the election and chicken out afterward. I seen this coming by the way.

Remember, neither party truly fights for the people!

It would be very gratifying to see this disaster sent packing, but sicne he has only two years to go, and a Congress that is no longer rubbertamp for his failed policies, perhaps it would be best to go about the nation's business rather than get sidetracked on a divisive Impreachment struggle. The best revenge is that history will judge him, by far, THE worst President ever!

Why would anyone want to see him impeached? He has not committed any impeachable offenses. No reasonable person would want to see impeached in these circumstances.
