how do you turn fractions into percents

Divide the top # by the bottom #. Then multiply by 100

You put like 1/5 and divide the 5 into 100=20% 1/2 is 2 into l00=50% or if you don't use the % sign, put a . in front of the numbe.50 And 3/4=invert the I00 and put it over the l so you have 100 over 1 multiply 3x100=300 over 4, now divide the 4 into the 300 and you get .75 or 75%. Turn fractions into percents by:
1) dividing the lower number (divisor) into the higher number (numerator).
2) multiplying by 100
3) placing the percent sign after it.

Ex: 3/4
Divide 4 into 3, and get .75
Multiply by 100 and get 75
Place the percent sign after it 75%

Ex: 1 3/5 change to "improper fraction" : 1 = 5/5 added to 3/5 = 8/5
divide 5 into 8 get 1.6
mult by 100 get 160
place % sign 160%

= (a*100)/b
