Listen to what the people on here are saying that have a Kirby. The ones that are saying we have had it for years. The money adds up, you are either going to spend it once with a Kirby or over and over with the other vacs. at the store. Think about it, a Dyson is about 600 and if you bought a new one every 3 to 4 years you spent the same as you would on a Kirby. Understand the Kirby is the only one out there that is a
1 Upright
2 Canister
3 Portable
4 Blower
5 Hard Floor Buffer
6 Carpet Dry-Cleaner
7 Upholstry Dry-Cleaner
8 and it comes with a 3year Warranty that covers everything except the bags, belts, roller brush, fan blades and rear wheels (these are things that arewxpendable) After the first 3years there is never a service charge, you are only responsible for the cost of the part. There is also a lifetime rebuild plan and a lifetime fire plan that protects the Kirby incase of a house fire.
I have a Kirby myself and if you do than you must have seen the demo in order to purchase it. They showed you last night what your old vac. left behind after running it over and over in the same place. That should answer your question right there. Why in the world would you want to do something like house cleaning with something that is not picking up all the dirt. Would you keep using a lawn mower that only cut some of the grass, or what about a washing machine that only kinda got the clothes clean. I am sure you wouldn't put up with a fridge that let the food spoil. My point is we expect 100% from all the other appalinces in our home that only protect a few hundred dollers of an investment. Why would we expect less from something that is protecting 1000's of dollars of carpeting and furniture and electronics. The payment is no more or less than a basic cable bill yet the Kirby is going to provide you with a clean home. Think about it your home is the biggest investment you have do you really want to protect it with a POS Hoover that doesn't clean. I am sure your family works hard for the money yall earn and have pride in the things you buy, why not take care of them the best way you can, with a Kirby.

My mom and I have been using Kirby vacuums for years. We absolutely love them. My friends always by the cheap vacuums and they end up buying a new one every year. I have had my same Kirby for years. If you can afford the payments I would definately keep it. You will never regret it.

Don't know much about Kirby, but I own a Rainbow SE model, which uses a small water bowl on the bottom instead of a nasty bag. The water ensures that dust particles don't flow back through the hose, polluting the air, because wet dirt and dust can't become airborne. Yes, it's not cheap at over $1,000, but is worth it and does a great job of picking up dust mites and spills, as it is both a wet and dry vac.

I love my Kirby vacuum. I have all of the attachments for using it above the floor and carpet cleaning. Yes, it's very expensive but I haven't found a vacuum that works as good.

Kirby is really the ultimate name in vacuum cleaners. You won't find a better one.

Yep I've owned a couple of em. The first thing to ask yourself is can I afford it and do I really need it. If all your going to do with it is every day cleaning then you may consider another model with a Hepa filter. It may not work as well, but I don't think you will be able to tell the difference.

Overpriced. Give it back and get a Rainbow. They clean the air. Kirbies just spread germs around your house.

Send it back it cost way to much money! It does a good job but so does my hoover! Send it back, no one needs a vacuum that cost that much money! Buy something else with the money you are spending on that stupid thing! Don't buy the rainbow either! That is still to much money! Don't be silly!
