I grew up listening to oldies, but lost interest a while ago.

Right now I'm hooked on:
Blink 182 (the cleaner stuff)
The All American Rejects
Weezer
Green Day (some of their stuff)
The Killers

I'd like some suggestions of bands that sort of match this genre.
No hip hop or rap please...

Looks to me like you're into the more alternative stuff. Some would say it has a more "pop" like feel to it. So here's a few bands to check out....

Fall Out Boy
My Chemical Romance
Blue October

But if you really want to listen to some pretty great, and almost unheard of, bands then check out.....

Pillar
Kutless
Skillet

you should try yahoo music... for only a couple of bucks a month they have this ingenious thing where you pick out a few bands you like and start throwing out all this music that may be affiliated by the amount of same people listen to all the same bands and suggest it...you rate it you can't get enough and they keep playing stuff you would probably like... also try Nickelback for your genre, or red hot chili peppers, and maybe even U2. They are still legendary!

BETTER YET....go to my 360 page and scroll down to my launch cast station and play my music I think you might like it.. all those are can't get enough is what I like.. then you can see if you want to dish out a couple of bucks a month to listen to music anytime all day on your computer.

i like journey myself yet I thoroughly understand whilst somebody isn't a fan of their music. as an occasion I even have heard somebody say that the music Separate techniques (worlds aside) is cheesy. i will see the element even however i like that music. yet whilst somebody have been to declare like the music do no longer stop Believing is cheesy i does no longer purchase that bullsh*t for a 2d it particularly is a superb music. I mean even non followers of journey that i understand like that one music. i do no longer purely like the band gadget in any respect. yet they do have a large variety of musical understand-how and talents. although, i like the band Downset, a hardcore band with rap valuable properties that are no longer so musically proficient yet they have MASS power and merely songs that groove. BQ:Drink alcohol? NO no longer anymore BQ2:as quickly as I say Billy, you assert... your stupid
