If there were one universal meaning to human life, then wouldn't someone have found it by now? If life has a meaning, it certainly couldn't be as simple as this.

It appears that there are three alternatives:

1) There are multiple universal meanings of life.

2) There are many different meanings of life corresponding to different sorts of people.

3) There is no meaning of life for anyone.

If the first proposition were to be true, then certainly at least some of those meanings would have been discovered by now. Therefore, this option seems unlikely.

If the third proposition were to be true, it would seem odd that there are so many inspired people in this world who appear to know (even if they cannot articulate it) what the meaning of their life is. For this reason, it appears that at least some (perhaps most) people have meaning in their lives. Thus, this proposition is unlikely as well.

This leaves the second proposition as the only one remaining.

Assuming that we do not share a common meaning of our lives, you would be in a better position to determine the meaning of your life. Perhaps the meaning of your life is to find meaning. Happy hunting and best wishes!

Whatever that human being decides the meaning of life will be for them. If you are happy with your choices, bingo., their is the meaning of life for that individual.
