Check out mothercare stores, they sell something called preggie pops, it is supposed to help with the nausea. Good Luck!

Well, I am 20 weeks preggers now but I got really sick for the first four months. I would suggest that if you are not hungry, don't eat! If you aren't hungry and are feeling nautious sometimes the worst thing to do is eat. What is better to feel sick and not eat, or to eat and vomit it up? That's the way i look at it anyway. I threw up a lot and the doctor said that some weight loss is okay in the first few months. I wouldn't force myself to eat if I were you. Try eating something bland like crackers if you are afraid. I wouldn't eat anything fried because that might make you worse. If you can eat bread than make a peice of toast, I used to get a peice of toast and put a tiny bit of butter(for flavor) and eat it that way. I used to be able to keep that down better than anything, as long as I didn't eat too much. If you can eat fruit too than that's great, I always like grapes because they give you water as well, which you will need! I wish you the best! I hope you don't stay as sick as I did or for as long!
Good luck!

Girl I am soo sorry it will be a long road !! I was sick till like almost 6 months and after that I was still kinda sick every now and then. I can only tell you that eat what you can keep down there is no magic trick or anything I can say to you!! Eat anything you can and try to drink plenty!! If you find you are throwing up water then you might want to go to the hospital for an IV to get you back to normal( that is after a few hours of throwing up water) ! I got were I could not drink !! So unless you have that going on you will be fine and just try to eat whatever do not worry about if it is good or not because something is better than nothing. If it get so bad then go and get something for nausea to help( ask doc.)
The preggie pops work ok but are not a cure trust me! they might help to a small degree but I tried everything!!
GoodLuck Hope you do not have it as long as me

With my last pregnancy I was sick for about 5 months. I couldn't even brush my teeth without throwing up, and nothing but water seemed to want to stay down most of the time. When I began to worry about my baby's health, my OB suggested buying a nutrition supplement like Ensure. Surprisingly enough, I was able to keep this down, and it provided much needed vitamins to my baby.
If you're eating only bread and fruit, at least make it whole grain bread, and try sneaking a little peanut butter on it. I found that eating only 3 or 4 bites at a time helped with the nausea. You just have to do it alllll day long!
Good luck, congratulations, and remember it won't last forever!

It's going to be ok. I myself went through the same thing for about 7 weeks...I could only eat regular chex cereal. no milk, no soda, juice or anything. I got sick on absolutely EVERYTHING. You and the baby will be ok. Just make sure you take your prenatal vitamins and do what you can. This nausea will fade and you will be better.... it will be a few weeks, but you will be ..I promise. And if it does last longer, (usually by your 12th week you will feel AMAZING!!) Then call your doctor.
Trust me...almost everyone goes through this and feels the same fear for their child. Your baby will be ok .. remember... your baby will get their nutrition first from your body...so they will be ok. You on the other hand are the one with the sick feeling! Just try to drink enough fluids and take vitamins...prenatal ones and you will be just fine.
And hey...congratulations!!

I had bad morning sickness through my entire pregnancy.
Things that helped were sports drinks - I couldn't stomach water by itself and sports drinks can help to rehydrate you... Do not drink them if you have diarrhea, Popsicles, toast with jam in bed (before I woke up)...
I'd avoid crackers. They say to eat those, but the texture of them made me gag most of the time. Diary made me nauseous. Eat whatever you can.
Do not worry about the baby just yet. He or she is surviving on its own right now and won't be taping into your food supply for a few more weeks. Even then, he or she will survive off of your food stores/nutrients already in your body should he or she need it.
If it gets really bad and you cannot handle fluids, ask your doctor about diclectin.

Yah that happens to my mom all the time when she is pregnant. Usually you have big cravings for one thing and everything else sound disqusting. Get the thing you feel like, even if its not that healthy it will make you feel alot better and chances are you won't puke it out. Like my mom craved pickled sausages when she was pregnant with me and I turned out to be a very healthy baby. Another thing, drink LOTS of water, that is probably the most important .
congratulations and Good Luck!

I had the same problem. Everything I loved before made me feel like barfing then. I just went to the store and walked down the aisles. Whatever looked good I grabbed, even if i hated it before. I ate ALOT of greek salads. I used to hate them with a passion, but for some reasons I loved al the strong flavors (no matter how stinky it was).

ahh the infamous morning sickness or shall i say all day sickness. oh how i remember those days. well the only thing i could eat was crackers and drink water. Jello was another thing i could eat and not get sick. You are eating fruit, then that is a good thing. Good luck and this feeling will pass and you will be eating a lot better. keep taking your prenatal pills and you will be fine.....

Are you taking your prenatal vitamins in the morning? they could be making you nauseous. Try taking them in the evening before bed. Try eating a couple of saltines before you eat, too, to settle your stomach. Sipping some ginger ale will also help. Congratulations, and good luck!

Try warm milk or caffeine free tea and small sandwiches of light vegetables, cheeses and meats. Eat light and slow but nothing with a heavy aroma or unpleasant texture. This is almost over and soon you will be ravenous - just don't worry and that will help calm your stomach too. Good Luck!
