This first set is pretty easy. Move the decimal place to the right two spaces and you will have the number as a percent (percent is the same as hundredths, so 0.3 = 0.30 = 30 hundredths = 30%).

Converting fractions to percents is a little harder, especially if you are not allowed to use a calculator. The easiest way to do this is to multiply both the numerator (top number) and the denominator (bottom number) by the same number so that the denominator comes out to 100. This will give you a similar situation to the decimal problems you listed.

ex: 1/5 = 20/100 = 0.20 = 20%
6/4 = 1 + 2/4 = 1 + 50/100 = 1.50 = 150%

the decimal point indicated 10s, 100s, or 1000. So .1 is 10%, .2 is 20% etc. Similarly .20 is 20/100 which can be reduced to 1/5 which is also 20 %. This one is easy because the per cent is the same as the number. .20=20% .30=30% etc. Three decimal place indicate thousands. examp. .001= 1 thousandth. This is not a percent unless it can be reduced to hundreds. ex. 10/1000= 1/100 which is .001 or 1%. Whole numbers before the decimal are 1=100% 2=200% etc and then add the fractional percentage to that. ex 2.5 = 250%

First you have to move the decimals two spaces to the right.
1.) .1=10% 2.) .50=50% 3.) .60=60% 4.) .17=17% 5.).75=75% 6.) .20=20% 7.) .3=30% 8.) .24=24% 9.) .125=12.5% 10.) .5=50% 11.) 2.25=225% 12.) .40=40% 13.) .25=25% 14.) 1.75=175% 15.) .4=40% 16.) .65=65% 17.) .001=1% 18.) 1.25=125%

For decimals, multiply by 100; therefore#1 is .1 x 100 = 10%

For fractions, change to a decimal, then multiply by 100. Example: 3/4 = .75 x 100 = 75%
1/2 = .5 x 100= 50%
1/8 = .125 x 100 = 12.5%
1/16= .0625 x 100 = 6.25%
1/4 = .25 x 100 = 25%

I hope this helps

To change fractions to percentages, always multiply the fraction by 100

Eg. 1/4 = 25% (ie. 1/4 x 100)

To change a decimal to percentages, also multiply by 100. Move the decimal point two steps forward to get the answer.

Eg. 0.001 x 100 = 0.1%
1.25 x 100 = 125%
0.4 x 100 = 40%

How you do it is, you take the decimal place and move it two places to the right and add a percent sign. To turn a fraction to a percent, move the decimal two places to the left with no percent sign. You'll get every question right if you follow those directions.
