it's up to you, but if you do, be prepared for some major lecturing and fighting.

No you shouldn't. You won't be able to hide the piercings from her and even if you try to hide them, she'll find out sooner or later. And by going against her wishes, you will be ruining your relationship with her and breaking trust. It will be hard to repair that, trust me.
I have many piercings, 26 to be exact. But then again, I live on my own, pay my own bills and take care of me. So my mother will be upset when I get new ones, but at the end of the day, I still have my jobs, I am still me and she knows that once it heals, I wear a retainer when around her.
If you are 18, then she has little way of stopping you. But since I've been in your shoes a while ago, I've learned the hard way to listen to momma sometimes and wait.

I wouldn't do it if I were you because you could probably get an infection, and your mom will probably rebel against YOU and say, "Well, it was your decision to get your lip pierced and you're going to have to do something about it." And it also draws attention away from your face. And people might start to think differently about you, so I'd be cautious.

I wouldn't do it JUST to go against your mom. If you really want to do it, hey, theres nothing wrong with it. At least your not getting a tattoo that lasts forever. You can at least take the lip ring out when going out with her if she wants. My mom always told me to pierce what i want, it will always close up, but think twice about tattoos.

why would you want to do that, you must not be of age because you are asking? why would you want to disrespect your mom she knows what's bests for you right know and it does not look nice on young ladies and it sends a message about you. trust me right know you think that it is the IN thing to do but it's not and I'm sure you are not feeling what I'm saying but. you must have some respect for your mom because you want to know what others think. good luck and life sometimes does not go the way we want but look at the love your mother has for you and see that she really does love you and is only doing what she thinks is best .

I have snakebites...but I'm also 23, live on my own, and pay my own bills.
Don't waste ur money and get them done when u'll only have to take them out. It's not like u can hide them. And assuming ur underage, u'll need her to sign for the piercing anyway. Unless of coarse ur planning on doin it urself...please don't. Just wait until ur 18 and it won't matter.....

Sure! Be rebellious. Don't listen to your parents! They don't know anything. You probably know it all, anyway. When you have children of your own, you won't know anything either and you'll have to rely on your own rebellious, know-it-all children to teach you everything. When your lip scars or gets infected, then you'll realize that your parents might be a little smarter than you give them credit for right now.

if you want to endure the consequences.
honestly you will want it out in a few years and be angry
about having a scar.
this happened to my daughter. she wanted the piercing so badly and now that she is 22 she regrets it so i think i should have
tried harder to keep it from happening. she has a hole there forever that she doesn't like now.
what you want when you're 14 is not the same as what you want when you're 25.

No you shouldn't get your lip pierced. Go with your mom on this one. I think people who have their lip pierced looks so stupid. Plus it may get infected after you get it pierced then it will swell up. GROSS.

If living under her roof of course not that is called disobedience.
Anyways if you want a good job you can't go around looking that way, people won't hire you with that stuff hanging off your face. ( you might get a low paying job but nothing good there are standards for the good jobs).

If looking like the rest of the idiots is your idea of being set apart and different... then sure, go ahead!
You have a lifetime to get cranium accessories... you only have a few years to love and respect your mom...
Cranium accessories... LOL... RIP Mitch Hedburg!
