Specialization in Microbiology would be great. M.S. in Microbiology. After this, you could have a wide range of options; you could go into the research field, food micro, or even teaching in a University, and of course in the laboratory. There are several openings even for your B.Sc. MLT course. But you have to pass the CLS or ASCP first (their state board exams).
