I see it all of the time in the media and the magazines I read in my country of India.

Why not? The whites treated the blacks like animals and some still do. The whites that are kind to blacks still regard them as different and still less than them. Blacks are bitter because of how they were and still are treated and have grown and inferiority complex.

I know in India you guys have a group of people called the Untouchables. Just think of the blacks as that, accept way less severe. Also, don't you guys still have a caste system? We do too here in America but it is just hush hush and hidden these days. There is a racial hierarchy here, blacks on the bottom, whites on top, and the Hispanics and Asians somewhere in between.

I really don't think it's as bad as you describe. The media isn't always a good reflection of reality.

Some, of both races hold some contempt, but most are live and let live.

My wife tends to agree with me on this point. I'm white, she's black.

Two reasons:
1) Stupidity
2) "They" aren't like "Us." "We" are different from "Them."

Sort of like the caste system, but not based (anymore) in religion.
