There are three common equations dealing with time. They are: E=mc2, m=E/c2, and c2=E/m. The basis of each of these equations is the value of "c2". This is the only value that does not change, and this is, by the way, the value of physical time. In that the composition of our universe is that of "c2" it is impossible for mankind to escape this value, for our own composition is that of time. All mass and energy average out to zero because of this value. The only time that has ever existed to mankind, or ever shall exist, is physical time, and there is no manner of escaping it.

Wow - I had to read your question a couple of times to get your drift.
The answer is no. In order to make the trip in negative time - one would have to arrive before he departed - and, obviously, that's not going to happen.
Interesting note: If we could travel at the speed of light (time would slow to a halt) and we could get from NY to LA in no time! It is often thought that if we could go faster than the speed of light that maybe time would run backwards - but that's for the science fiction writers, because, in reality, we can never achieve the speed of light, let alone exceed it.
Good question.

This could be achieved two ways:
1) By going faster than the speed of light, thus dilating time, causing it to go "backwards" (impossible)
2) By going through a particular space-time curvature. In this curvature, everything runs faster, even light. So you could go faster than the light outside the curvature, but still not exceeding the speed of light inside the curvature, agreeing with the laws of physics. (Theoretical. It has been shown that space time does curve, but we don't know know how to make it curve, and we don't know what would happen if you attempted this.)

well i am only answering the main question.
scientists are experimenting on this time travel thing for some time.the thing is they think we can travel in time but not to past.they say that if they can start a machine(special one )now which has time running in it,they can go to any time that is relevant to that machine.obviously there cant be negative time for a machine.so we can travel into future.
i think there is also another way of time travelling,if time and space are not continuous then if we can condense a mass to small space then we can create a hole in space which will also twist the time in its vicinity(familiar with black holes then this is it).

You couldn't make the trip in negative time. That would mean you got there before you left here.

Can't go faster than the speed of light, which is what you would need to do in order to go backwards in time.
