I just recently found out I am pregnant, but I am worried because I have been getting really bad cramping, and I dont know if this is normal. Has anyone ever experienced this? I go to the doctor for the first time this Friday, but I would like some background knowlege before I go in.

I am newly pregnant too, with my second child and I too have lots of cramping.
I had this with my first too, it's not so much cramping as it is stretching of your uterus and ligaments and the pressure on your bladder. You'll feel all sorts of aches and pains.
If your cramping is really severe and is accomidated with bleeding, I would lay down and put my feet up. If it doesn't subside take yourself to the doctor right away.

I don't think you are having a miscarriage, I'd say you are just having the normal stretching and pulling on your insides. Try not to worry!
Good luck and congratulations!

Oh I had suck bad cramps the first 6 weeks I thought I would miscarry any minute, as long as there is no bleeding you should be OK. I am 13 weeks and still cramp from time to time. Just try to relax, but call the doctor if the pain gets really severe or there is bleeding.

just because you have cramps isnt necessarly something bad, usually youll get cramps as if your getting your period because your body is so used to having your period monthly, every woman is different.. then again you should tell your doctor what you feel, when i was pregnant i had alot of cramps but i was nothing bad, my body was getting used to the pregnancy.
