Anyone got any ideas what my daughter and her friends could do (lets keep it clean boyz!!) for New Years Eve given their age restrictions? They desperately want to go out but what the hell could they do?

Bowling, Iceskating, they probably want to be where they can be seen by lads with out being seen with adults... for "giggly" stuff.

My mam let me drink to much when I was about 13, just so I didn't go out the year after and do the same thing, worked to, I didn't get drunk again until I was 17, so maybe let them have a house party with a few drinks. At least they'll be legally drinking and in the care of an adult.

Throw a party at home where the can get dressed up like adults do for a New Year's Eve party complete with music, dancing, platters of finger foods, and sparkling cider in plastic champagne flutes for the New Year's toast. Enlist the help of your daughter with the decorations and food; and enlist the help of your friends for additional chaperones.

Absolutely have them at your house. You can control what's going on, and you won't have to worry about what they are up to. Get a DJ, and turn the basement into a party lounge!! Borrow some chairs/couches, you can rent funky lighting, and don't forget the refreshments!! Make sure the kids have a way to get home after midnight, and perhaps let your daughters closest girl friends sleep over.
Should be fun!

Ditto on the home party. I remember being 14 and I would rather clean up after a bunch of girls then worry all night long about what they're up to. Just don't keep crashing their party.
Better to be safe then sorry.

If you live nearby, Disneyland will be open until 2:00 AM on New Year's Eve. I would think that would be relatively safe, especially if chaperoned.

I'd throw a New Years Eve pyjama party.

i would never in a million years allow a fourteen year old to "go out" on new year's eve. there are too many crazies out that night. i'd stick with an at-home party, complete with a sleepover.

Host an at home bash -- you'll know where they are and what they are doing -- rent movies, stock up on snacks and non-alcoholic drinks...At 14 you don't have to be seen at the party, but chaperone from your room

maybe throw a party? if you feel they're responsible enough and that her friends' parents wouldn't mind, and seening as it would be new-years, maybe let them have champagne? or if they really want to go out then I'm sure there are under 18's discos around your area somewhere...
