No, they shouldn't both be girly. AND they aren't necessarily always masculine and feminine. Stereotypes are rarely accurate for those whom they seek to stereotype.

First off, let's remember that not all lesbian couples are butch and femme; there are a lot of femme-femme couples, and even some butch-butch. And secondly, let's remember that sometimes people may arrange themselves in such couples (like Ellen and Portia), but it might not have any bearing on what they like ('girly' or whatever), but rather the fact that they fell in love. A lot of people fall in love with people who don't fit their characteristic 'types'.
Now, with that out of the way, yes, there are a lot of femme women who love butch women. But just remember- they love butch women. Regardless of if a woman acts/dresses/looks like a man, she's still got the goods on her chest and between her legs, which really is, technically, all that being a lesbian requires: two vaginas and four pairs of breasts. Masculinity on a woman is very different than masculinity on a man, and lesbians who like butch women don't like them because they're somehow subsitutes for men- they like the combination- manly, but only on a woman. Neither are these butch women trying to be men- they're being themselves, which tends towards the more masculine side. Hence you get butch-femme partners that seem to mimick heterosexual relations (i.e. a "guy" and a "girl" in the relationship), but the things that really matter are the fact that they're both women, and they like one another for whatever reason.
Hope that helps!

WEll somethimes or in my relationship, I play the roll of the man because I pay for the bill you know and do all the manly things in the relationship. Sometimes its done to show males that women don't need them. Women can do everything a man does but better. Other times it's just because the female who is the butch feels comfortable playing that role so she does.

No he won't be able to. i could have been surprised if he saved it. whether Jo did say that Harry substitute into an unintentional Horcruxe, so while area of Voldemort's soul substitute into residing in him, that's what gave him the skill to communicate to snakes, to have those temper swings :) and somewhat carry a number of Voldemort's characteristics that Dumbledore factors out. while Harry is going out to die, Voldemort destoryed the Horcruxe which led to Harry to be relieved of all of Voldemort's previous characteristics, ie being a Parseltonge.

No not at all and who the heck says ellen is butchy? HA HA! She is more androgynous. Not all hetero couples are like that so why do you think lesbians should be a certain way?
