I mean, I'm a BRONCOS fan, but I hate seeing BS calls determine the outcome of the game. When that charger receiver spiked the ball, it was a not a forward pass.

i don't agree with the call at all. if a player willingly gives himself up (much like as if a QB were to slide or take a knee), contact is not needed for the play to be blown dead.

this guy caught the ball and gave himself up. the play should have been blown dead as a completed pass.

guess there are different rules for QB and non-QBs? i have no idea.. bottom line, the call cost the Raiders a shot at winning the game.

evidence of a conspiracy against the Raiders, or a conspiracy for SD.

This not only cost Oakland, but it cost DEN and KC a chance from gaining grould on a SD team that should have lost that game..

It is a forward pass if (a) the ball initially moves forward (to a point nearer the opponents goal line) after leaving the passers hands; or (b) the ball first strikes the ground, a player, an official, or anything else at a point that is nearer the opponents goal line than the point at which the ball leaves the passers hand.
A fumble or muff going forward is disregarded as to its direction, unless the act is ruled intentional. In such cases, the fumble IS a forward pass.

Since Jackson himself initiated the fumble, the ruling could only be an illegal forward pass, which in regards to an intentional fumble carries only a 5 yd penalty. Since it's ruled a pass, the play stops as soon as the ball hits the ground. The refs made the right call.

I don't believe the NFL has it in for the Raiders. I believe the Raiders struggles come from poor personnel decisions and bad attitudes from players. You can't blame the entire NFL for a single bad call. And in a situation where their is a conspiracy it seems more likely that the NFL would conspire for a single team to succeed rather than fail. The NFL shares it's revenue, so everyone benefits from success, not failure. Any Raiders fans who wonder why the team is not successful need look no further than Randy Moss, Ken Walter, Jerry Porter, and others. Their good players don't try and their bad players are just bad.

The NFL has it in for Al Davis, that's for sure. He's been biting the hand that has made him a multimillionaire for years. But on the field, I think games are fairly refereed. The Raiders have always been a pretty undisciplined team.
