I believe if the two people are in love than people should accept their decision and let them live their lives. This should not be a big controversy because people should just focus on their own life.

Here goes. Marriage began as a religious rite. Something that was a way to affirm your union to a "God" ( I am not very religious ). But somewhere down the road, politics decided to take over. I believe that it should stay a religious rite, and if any particular religion decides to allow this, then let it be so. But take away the law and the politics from the equation first and let the chips fall where they my. P.S. I am straight and am personnally against gay marriage, but am open to the act if it is a religion based decision only.

No they should not be allowed to get married. It's just not natural. If it was they could reproduce together. If everyone did that then that would be the end of society. No one would ever be born again. It is not right in the Bible also. Now that is not saying to be mean to them. They are still human beings. And deserve to be treated as such. But not to the point where a new law is made to accomodate them in their beliefs or we would have to do that for every opinion out there. Well, that's my opinion.

I think the most important issue here is one that is often overlooked.....children. No matter how children became involved (insemination, adoption, previous relationships) they still deserve the same security as heterosexual couples' children. These children are not eligble to receive any type of benefits, social security, or ANYTHING from the 2nd parent. I think everyone should drop their personal feelings and really focus on these kids.

Who cares what other people do. I say let'm get married. The government can then tax them like they do everyone else

Iam agree , aslongest they don't adopt children, I think children should be raiced in a traditional family and values. so they don't grow up all confused.
