My mother said she drove behind her and she was all over the road,... my grandmother said it was becuase of the dog.
Frankly I was surprised to find out she was still driving,.....
She can hardly walk sometimes,,....
I love her dearly but what about the safety of the other people on the road? SHe is so stubborn,....
I told my mother to call the police so that they can nicely stop her and take her liscence away, Is that mean?
My mother said that would give her a heart attack.
I mean she really SHOULDNT be driving! SO what should we do?

Sit down and talk to her. Unless she gets pulled over, there are no laws to stop her. Heck, in my state, she can even renew by mail with no vision test or anything!
You may have to take her license AND HER KEYS away from her yourself. She WILL fight about this, because she will be losing her independence. And remind her when she says "I've never been in an accident" that though she might not have been in any, she may have CAUSED them. it's for her own good, but she will NOT WANT to hand over her independence easily.
There needs to be laws regarding this, because too many elderly people are on the road and shouldn't be. Their vision is poor, their depth perception is nil and their reflexes are quite slow. It's very dangerous.

Old people are stubborn when it comes to there independence. Maybe your idea is the best. Or next time she goes to the doctor tell the doctor what is going on. He can maybe somehow tell her she cant be driving anymore, and that steps will be taken. It would be horrible for her to hurt someone, or herself. Get the law involved.

Your local Motor Vehicles Department has a department that deals with elderly people and people who have seizures too. I would call them. Here in California there called Driver's Safety.

The capacity to drive is lost at different ages for different individuals. Perhaps it is your grandma's time to hang up the fuzzy dice...

Have a talk with her about it.
If she doesn't listen....let her know you will do everything in your power to stop her.

send her to the eye doctor, and her family doctor. if they say its okay, you can't do anything about it. if they say no, then she will do what her doctors say.
