It has to be understood violation notices don't necessarily mean you have done anything wrong..just that some jerk has chosen to report you..the Yahoo system hasn't been perfected and you are automatically assumed guilty and have no redress...e mailing Yahoo just gets no responce..afraid its the down side of answers you just have to accept...must admit its a big flaw on Yahoo`s part...

Well, there was a very brief little contratemps between myself and another user. This person had posted a truly offensive question, on which I filed an abuse report.

Because I think it's cowardly to do that in anonymity, I told this person that I had filed an abuse report ( posted that on the person's question).

Directly thereafter this person filed a report on one of my questions as "not a question or answer", which was patently false, and some other reason for reporting an answer of mine.

In other words, petty vindictiveness.

I asked if a user called 'yourreported' should be reported for reporting people. Barrage of abuse from people, one found it hilarious (as I hoped) and it was deleted in less than 5 minutes. I actually thought it was a very funny question, wouldn't have reported him, his answers made me laugh!!

I got one for missing the b out of absolutely, which was a simple mistake on my part. I couldn't understand it at all 'cos it was nothing compared to the loads of spelling mistakes on this site.

i asked a question about people's favourite dance tracks. it was removed for being too chatty?! its yahoo answers, it wouldnt be fun if it was all too formal! and its a joke considering some of the foul and horrible questions that remain on the board.

In one of my answers, I wrote:
"...ignorant ancient wandering hebrew sheep herders"

Somebody reported me for "insulting other Answers participants."

I didn't know there were any hebrew sheep herders that lived thousands of years ago participating on Yahoo Answers :) And they *were* ignorant, which is a comment on what they knew or did not know, not an insult.

Mine was being censored for using the correct term "*****" for a female dog! It was a question about dogs, not about Camilla!
I was also censored for calling Camilla ugly.
Oh well.......
