I'm tired of blacks blaming "Whitey" for their problems. Maybe it is themselves keeping each other down, haven't you noticed that when a black person does good in life, he is seen as a sellout to other blacks. Also if a black person doesn't act or dress like the others, he is looked down at, do they lack self responsibility, and rather blame others?

I watched a special on the life of Richard Pryor last night (Because I love him!)

but I noticed how all of the comedians kept saying things about white people that aren't true... They generalized and made public assumptions that we are all; rich, white, socially oblivious, nerds, geeks, and hold down and abuse blacks, that we own everything, control everything and keep every good thing from them intentionally...

I am white...and I have never once in my life done any of the above.

Not all of us are rich, not all of us are even pure white, not all of us are socially oblivious and not all of us are any one thing really...

So my point is stating this here is;

"Look what you get when the pot calls the kettle black."

a bunch of people being ignorant and feeling that they are somehow justified in doing the very same thing that they hate in return, to feel better about the fact that a narrow minded margin of white people first did it to them... YEARS AGO!

You can't expect people to forget and move on from a tragedy if you keep constantly reminding them of it...

Let's move on now... If they can let go that is and start to live above the influence of the past? I honestly believe that it is manipulative and incendiary...

I for one... will not forget how an innocent white man just happened to wander into down town LA during a riot and was almost beaten to death by 6 men with a brick for NOTHING! He was on his way to WORK!

That... is what comes of people not allowing the past to be the past and let it go! RIOTS and hatred for those who are innocent... but guilty because they are the same color...

Sounds like you just grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. I'm Black, Ivy educated, my relatives and Black friends are all educated professionals. I've never had a "lower" class black person put me down. If anything they smile and give me encouragement for doing well and for having made it..

On the other hand, it's only been the lower class whites that have given me the funny looks and attitudes. I can see the jealousy in their eyes. I respect them the least. With all the advantages they have in this society by being white, I'm still better than they are.

And I have experienced racism, but I plow through anyway. America is still very racist, but hey, I just have to deal with it and work harder than whites have to to have the same things.

dze is really funny, but yeah shez got her facts right! hahaha!

I'm not really sure if whites really respect a colored man, things have changed a lot from 1960s when blacks were given seperate seats in buses, denied entry to public places, etc.,

All men are treated equally these days. But at least 30% of whites still feel that they are born to rule and others to be slaves. I'm sure this wrong attitude will be defeated in due course of time.

If a men is dunking on you everytime, hazard is your in the incorrect game because of the fact your protection is busted. solid interior D will do away along with his game if it particularly is all he has. If he has a solid exterior game, comparable theory, take it away of throw it off.

its a combination of blacks, and society in general, think back to 1964,not much has changed really, society is designed to keep ALL minorities down, and if you cant see that, then you are blind, and its very sad.

He does have to look at hiself but why does someone has to look down at you by the way he dresses...It's like you having Polo on and someone richer has Versce on and looking down at you...Weird but that's how it goes

You are right the only one holding themselves down is them calling race.. I get so sick and tired of ANY race hiring an attorney as soon as they get called a name by someone. I have been called many names and well hey deal with it and get over it. Lets stop trying to get rich off of the color of our skin

well, as the white conservative man says "if u dont like it, get out". speaking of lacking self responsiblity, id say the white man has yet to own up to slavery.

The black man keeps himself down. Unfortunately, I think there is a genetic component.

Whites did during the slavery times. Now it is just themselves. My uncle worked his butt off to get to were he is. He did not grow up with a sliver spoon in his mouth. Only you can help yourself.
