I'd say C.
When a rock is made, from lava cooling or whatever, it has a certain amount of radioactive elements in it. By measuring the amount of those elements, comparing it to the expected amount, and using the half life of that element, you can get about how old the rock is.
the caveat is each time it gets melted and reforms, the clock gets reset.

Do you mean:
The half-life of an element is important for determining the ___of a rock?
The answer would then be C, absolute dating.
Absolute dating is finding the exact age of the rock. Relative dating is determining the order of the rocks, but not the exact age.

I think you mean HALF LIFE.
And the half life of certain isotopes of, for example, Carbon or Potassium are used used to age rocks. It is important in determining the relative age of a rock, not absolute, as we don't entirely know what the rock has been subjected to (environment, pressure, temperature) so we estimate it.
The answer is B) relative age.

deliberating this question jogs my memory of Van Halen's calling themselves "massive Rock" as a replace of Heavy metallic. for those preferring categories to positioned bands in, i think plausible say that you'll ought to draw a line on the share of a band's recorded music - say, seventy 5% - that discerning listeners ought to describe as metallic or, a minimum of, heavy, thundering not difficulty-free rock. (i.e. 3 out of any given 4 tracks are gonna have various of thunder in them.) Bands that were seen borderline metallic comprise: Blue Oyster Cult Triumph skinny Lizzy rebel Van Halen early Rush Uriah Heep AC/DC flying saucers at the same time as numerous bands rock plenty, and at times use unmistakably metallic heaviness in preparations (Zeppelin is composed of ideas) i do not imagine all people ought to rather call them metallic.
