It depends....most chains will accept returns from other locations. I worked in retail for 4 years and we always accepted returns from other stores (of course, we were trying to get customers to exchange instead of just return).
However, there are certain circumstances in which they may ask you to bring the items back to the original store. But if you purchased everything legit, then it's no problem. Bring it back to the nearest location by you!
Just remember....if you purchase items at outlet stores, you will need to return them to the outlet store if it is a big chain company. Most regular retail won't accept any outlet merchandise.

If it's a chain like Old Navy, Gap or Dillard's you can return to any store. If it's an independently owned or operated store probably needs to be returned to same store.

It usually can be done at any chain. I know Old Navy works like that and they're always updating their return policy to better serve people. I would call the store you purchased it from though.

Most chain retail will honor a receipt from another store. It it was a gift or no receipt- the will only give you the sale price. I would just give them a quick call to double check before you drive down there!!

in case you nevertheless have the tags on it and the unique receipt, then you might want to be able to get an finished refund. option: placed the outfits right into a plastic bag with a dryer sheet over evening to eliminate some stink

prefebally it would be ideal to go back to where you brought it..but i have also been in this prediciment and was allowd to bring it back to the same store in another location....justas long as you have your reciept mind you.
