Most Americans I know, including myself, love our cousins across the pond. We are much like a family, we may not always agree, but we are still family.

The British and the Australians tend to see eye-to-eye with us on almost everything. When they don't, we get the sneaking suspicion that we're wrong. Between the two, it's hard to pick a favorite, but we're geographically and economically closer to the United Kingdom than we are to Australia.

I think Americans appreciate the Brits more than the Brits appreciate the Americans (they apparently consider us boorish and violent, which is funny when you compare our football fans to theirs), but that's one of those things that waxes and wanes over time.

I don't know any Americans who hate the UK or "couldn't care less about the UK". I know Americans who like it, Americans who love it, Americans who REALLY love it (four of my good friends are studying in England right now).

I also know Americans who are ambivalent about it, but those tend to be naturalized Europeans.

I love the UK. It is a great place to visit with lots to see and do. London is a totally awesome city! It has a little bit of everything for everybody. It is very clean and welcoming to tourists.
I love the countryside too. Flower gardens are beautiful beyond description.
Best of all, I love the English people. They are some of the kindest people that I have ever met.

Love the UK home of my ancestors over 200 years ago, they are apart of us, we can never forget. Only trouble with the UK now is, it is to politically correct and its killing you, and if America dose not wake up we are heading in that same direction. Politically correctness is also killing us. Especially when it comes to the Muslims. We have got to take the same stand the Australians did, they put forth a message to the Muslim communities, That their is only one law and it is Australian law, and if they don't like it then they had better find another country to go to. America and the UK has to stand up and say the same thing.

Actually, I LOVE the UK! Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to visit the UK, but I'm determined to do so one day. I love British movies and TV shows and I also love British accents. I'm also proud to say that I've got British ancestry. (I'm descended from Henry II, as a matter of fact.:))

Of course Americans love the UK!

Any country that speaks english, can't be half bad.

Also, the greatest rock bands in history, (i.e., Beatles, Stones, Led Zeppelin, et al) are from England.

I was in London many years ago and I will never forget what one person said to me. I think I was in a pub (it's so long ago). I asked him what he thought about America and he said, what, you mean the colonies? I laughed my head off. He said you know we have never gotten over the fact that you left us. I laughed again.

Also, you have given us great people like Monty Python and the Beatles. I love the UK, but I don't care about your royal family.

G-d bless you.
