I have to go right to the end of the road to see anything green round here, its fairly built up were I live too, but were only 10 minuets away from a beautiful park so its not too bad, took my dog in there this morning for a lovely walk in amongst the trees and all the leaves that have fallen off, even got an hello of two really nice old people who have just got themselves a Labrador puppy, such a cutie and full of bounce and fun wanting to jump all over my old golden retriever who was in her element running through the leaves with the little puppy and play fighting, as it was such a lovely morning I sat on a bench for ages just taking in the views and daydreaming of warmer days and seeing lots more people about, its a bit like living in another world at this time of year when you never see a soul or a nice smiling face isn't it, hope your feeling a bit better now, wish I could give you a hug as it sounds like you could really do with one, take good care of yourself won't you.

I live in a great village in rural Gloucestershire. In my office where I am now sitting, if it wasn't dark I can see green fields and hills. I frequently walk these hills and have nice pub lunches and spend time alone breathing in the myriad of smells from the countryside. I gave up working for a company 15 years ago and went self employed where I made a decent living but did not make sack fulls of money. I was able to take a holiday, usually in Devon every month and once each year in the summer I went abroad to France, Switzerland and Germany in the car and stayed away for 3 weeks.
Where ever you live you can always take a trip into the countryside at the weekends, just make the effort. Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire is only 1 and 2 hours from London. If you live elsewhere then a two hour journey is usually all you need.

Hmm let me take a peek out my window. Palm trees, cruise ships, houses, office buildings and the Caribbean sea with a nice warm breeze blowing through keeping the air clear. Im in Georgetown, Grand Cayman. No fields of green really but lots of nice green trees. Its spolied by a few thousand gaudily dressed cruise ship passengers and total grid lock on the road (mon). Sounds like you need a good weekend away - don't have to go far as others have said on here.

Too many years of my life spent working in London. I now Iive in Suffolk and work for myself part time. Fields opposite the front garden, a wood beyond the back garden and only my cat for company. The down side is a fairly low budget lifestyle but at least I am likely to live longer.
Regard your environment as the short time price for future comfort.

Yes, i live next to a farm so can see fields, cows and horses right now.
Ther are also pigs there, chickens and the odd sheep as it a farm where school kids visit so they have a bit of everything.
The worst thing is the noise from the cows each morning when they want feeding, it really is very loud.
And the best? Having to stop the car because mother duck and 6 duckings are crossing the road.

I live in a bungalow in a remote location on the Lincolnshire marshes. I have just come in from walking my dog over the salt marshes, and I haven't seen a soul. I live alone and love the solitude. I have no near neighbours. You should try it.
