Think before asking a question like this. Think. Why do you think they'd lie?

Besides lying to get out of trouble, sometimes people do it as a way to protect the other person from feeling bad about hearing something they might not like to hear. Plus, it protects the liar from having to feel bad about doing something wrong or at least something the person they're lying to wouldn't like or approve of.
The worst thing about lies is you can't always know for sure if someone is lying to you or not and that's what really bugs me!!!

People lie because they don't want trouble. Who enjoys being punished or fussed at?! Though it's not best, it's human nature to want to be seen as 'not guilty.'
