How do I get rid of a Lutron GRAFIKEye lighting panel?

It's basically a bunch of dimmers with different zones and modes, and little timers on it so that lights go on or off slowly when you select a different mode.

It was used when our office was a shop. It controls some 240V spots and some LV spots as well.

Question is, if I pull it off the wall, will I find a mess of electronic spaghetti behind it extending way into the walls, or is it really just a glorified dimmer switch that I can replace with a bunch of boring old switches?

Reason for wanting rid of it: energy saver bulbs can't use dimmers, and you can't bypass the dimmers on this thing.

Edinburgh, since you ask.

Thanks!!

Depending on the number of zones there will be at least one cable for each plus a supply, could be wired various ways. The biggest problem will be the box size which is a US twin switchbox, you can't normally fit UK switches to these, but there are ways of adapting them or else removing and replacing with a uk type.

Please YMail me, I have a suggestion. I tried emailing you but your address is 'Not confirmed' so it bounced!!

You should be able to remove the dimmer panel and replace with a bank of switches ( one for each zone ) But you may have to disconnect dimmable lv transformers B4 adapting the lights to suit your layout.
You should consult a local contractor as I feel it can be done without too much trouble
