We got a hp slimline Pavillion. It came with Sonic to burn movies but it won't work and we are tired of wasting time and blanks. SO we reinstalled Nero but it goes really SLOWLY. Any ideas on how to speed it up? We use DVD Fab and DVD Shrink, then NERO to burn. Burning used to take few minutes, now it takes like 45 min to burn one movie :(

How much RAM did the computer come with? This will effect the burning speed. Burners need tons of RAM to buffer the movie in order to burn it. 1 GB of RAM is usually the minimum needed to burn movies. You will also need double the HD space to burn a movie. (e.g.- movie is 3 GB, you need 6 GB free HD space to burn a copy)

Highly recommend burning DVD's at 2x, but no more then 4x.

Leaves less chances of glitches and errors.

Nero tends to have small glitches here and there, recommend sticking with Nero 6. Nero 7 has been problematic.

TRY USING A PROGRAM CALLED DVD DECRYPTOR FIRST. THAT MAY HELP.
