How come a couple years ago when Nebraska played for the National Championship everyone was complaining that they didn't even play for their confrence championship........ Now fast forward back to the present everyone want's Michigan to play Ohio St. again for the Championship????? Michigan didn't win their division, they lost to Ohio St. So is it me or do I see some major issues with the BCS and with so called "football experts" that are pushing for a Ohio St. - Michigan rematch!

This is a totally different situation (now I'm not saying either way what I think should happen this year...). Nebraska got KILLED and I mean destroyed by Colorado in their last game, and didn't even get to play in their conference championship. If Colorado had been the #1 team in the country that year, then it would be similar, but they were not (they had 2 losses). Michigan didn't win their conference because they lost to THE #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY, who also happens to be IN their conference. That's why it's a different situation. Many people feel that Michigan IS the second best and so deserves a shot at the title.

As for Florida (what Look4tay mentioned)... Florida didn't look good at all this week against Florida State, and SHOULD (but by teh grace of god and good fortune) have lost to South Carolina. I'm not saying it's right, and I'm not saying I want to SEE a rematch, but if it's not USC I think Michigan is a FAR superior team to Florida (but if FL beats up on Ark. that might change my position).

What I don't understand is, if USC loses to UCLA, shouldn't Florida then play for the national championship. If Ohio State has already beaten Michigan, and USC falters, why doesn't Florida then play. I heard that the reason is that nobody wants to see Florida play OSU. If the BCS says that they are a top team, and Michigan and USC drop out, then they should play. The BCS is BS because at the end, the two teams that will play for the championship are not necessesarily the best teams, but the 2 teams the BCS thinks we want to see play.

Because Nebraska got blown out by Colorado in their last game, while Michigan lost to the #1 team in the nation by only 3 points on the road. And many believe that while OSU is the #1 team in the nation, Michigan is likely the 2nd best team and unfortunately lost their last game to the #1 team.

You can have two teams from the same conference play in the National Title game. It happened in 97 (I think) with two teams from Florida.

Michigan only has 1 loss like everyone else and their loss is to the best team in the country, so it's hard to fault them for that. It should be Michigan in the title game but either way the buckeyes are going to take it!

I don't like the idea of a rematch, but I do not think it will happen. USC will play Ohio St. for the title.
