Titi Camara bid goodbye to Anfield when he joined former Reds teammate Rigobert Song at West Ham United.
Camara hadn't played in the 2000-2001 season for Liverpool after asking for a transfer in pursuit of regular first team football. He left for the Hammers on Thursday 21st December 2000 for £1.5 million. He played 37 times for the Reds, scoring 10 goals.

The first footballer from Guinea to play in England, Camara finished his first season at Anfield as runner-up to Michael Owen in the Anfield scoring charts with 10 goals. A real crowd favourite, the pacy Camara scored on his debut at Sheffield Wednesday and continued to produce ferocious strikes at goal throughout the campaign. Capable of the unexpected he showed commitment when he played and scored in the 1-0 Anfield win over West Ham, just hours after the death of his father.

He started his career with French club St Etienne in 1990 and had spells with RC Lens and Olympique Marseille - with whom he appeared in a UEFA Cup final before Gérard Houllier snapped him up for £2.5 million.

The reason people in America don't know about Guinea is because of the public school system. They sure do know about Bill Clinton, global warming and homelessness though.
